PLANET
PLANET, the Professional Landcare Network, is an international association serving lawn care professionals, exterior maintenance contractors, installation/design/build professionals, and interiorscapers. PLANET provides its members with a good business foundation to help them evaluate, plan, and better manage their companies. Member firms have direct access to marketing tools, industry specific business publications, updates on legislative issues, and networking opportunities that can assist them in becoming more profitable.

PLANET emerged on January 1, 2005, when the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) and the Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) joined forces to become a more encompassing network of green industry professionals.

PLCAA, organized in 1979, was the premier global trade association for residential and commercial lawn care professionals.

ALCA, founded in 1961, was the premier global trade association for landscape maintenance, installation, and design/build contractors and interior-scapers.

PLANET develops and maintains active programs for approximately 4,000 member firms in the areas of business management, government affairs, public relations, technical assistance, safety and insurance, education, and inter-industry relations with other facets of the green industry.

NNLA
The Nebraska Association of Nurseryman was established in 1925 to represent the Nebraska Nursery Industry. The nursery and landscape industry has grown a great deal over the years and the group is now the Nebraska Nursery and Landscape Association.

The NNLA has grown to serve members across the state as well as many members outside the borders of Nebraska. Our members consist of retail garden centers, growers, landscape designers and contractors, landscape management firms and consultants, industry suppliers, college faculty, arborists, turf specialists and certified nurserymen.

Nebraska's top industry professionals lead the organization by volunteering on the board of directors and committees and by serving as advisors. These volunteers work to provide education, legislative involvement and certification programs for the industry as well as other member benefits.

The NNLA sponsors an Annual Winter Conference and Trade Show, a Summer Field Day, training and certification for the Nebraska Certified Nurseryman program, a newsletter, student scholarships, and plant auctions to support university research.

The NNLA mission is "To serve the green industry by educating and supporting our members to successfully improve the quality of our environment."
