On the Stories page you can read an article we published in a 2006 issue of The Estate Gardener about the Breuning residence. Shortly after publication the Breuning project was presented with an Environmental Improvement Award of Distinction from the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET).

The challenge to make this site both suit suit the needs and fulfill the dreams of its owners involved maximizing the small space on a steep slope and enhancing the livability of the area. Through the use of interwoven man-made and natural materials, we were able to create a functional, inviting terrace that becomes the centerpiece of the view from the wall of windows above.

The gathering of Landscape Industry leaders for the 37th annual Environmental Improvement Awards took place in Columbus, Ohio. Over 140 projects from North America were recognized.

PLANET’s Environmental Improvement Awards Program reflects the association's commitment tocreating and preserving the beauty of our landscape. The program is designed to reward independentlandscape, lawn care, and interiorplantscaping professionals who execute superior projects.
