Winter has arrived with authority in the middle of the country, we have 12″ of snow on the ground that arrived with 45 MPH winds and 5 foot deep drifts. To top it all off, we have sub zero temps to keep it around for a long time. So we are just nestling in for the holidays. The Christmas decorations are up, invitations for some small holiday get togethers are going out and the menus being planed. In the larder are some Prime rib roasts, turkey and fixing and lots of baked goods.
